linksys wusb11 ver 2.6 suse 9.1 dection problem

hey there, I am fairly new to linux, but so far so good other than I am having problems getting suse 9.1 pro kernel 2.6.4-54.5-default to install my linksys wusb11 ver 2.6 Atmel chipset Berlios driver to detect the usb card as a network device, the module is listed in the lsmod output(at76c503_rfmd, and when i go into Yast then into Hardware then to hardware information then to USB the device is listed as Linksys unclassified device, what the problem is that i am not able to get suse to recognize the linksys wusb11 as a wireless device. I am open to any suggestions

thanks

hello. I already installed the patch. But how do I up the connection? Is there a place where I activate it or not? I configured it through Yast--network cards configuration--wireless network:

automatic address setup (DHCP)
Already configured routing
Advanced-- detailed settings--device activation--at boot time.

But when I disconnect my wired lan on the network, wireless doesn't work. no internet? Any sign that it is connected? Or signal?
