Line-in doesn't work...

I'm running Fedora Core 1 on my Shuttle Sk41g (nforce motherboard) with ALSA set up. I've changed the mixer to unmute the line in, but I can't get audio to go through it at all from my tv card. I know the tv card's working, I tried sticking headphones into its audio out. Any ideas on how to get line-in working?

hi,

can't answer this directly, but perhaps you could confirm the following -

does sound work at all? ie do audio files / cds, etc play through your speakers?

do any of the other inputs work?
