Angry LG VX6000 camera-phone and SuSE 9.1

I just bought a USB cable for my LG VX6000 camera phone. I originally installed the drivers on my parents' computer (running windows ME.....ugh) and had no problems when i used BitPim 7.15. When i tried to use it on my computer (SuSE 9.1 Pro), I can't get my computer to recognize it.....it knows that my phone is plugged in and charged, but it can't access it. I am looking for a program or some piece of information that im missing to make it work, but i'm not having any luck.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Chris

I am having exactly the same problem. I am using a Susteen cable with an LG VX6100 phone, Mandrake 10.1 and BitPim.

Did you ever get it figured out?
