LG-Monitor-Driver-Fedora Core 6.
 
Hi ! Friends,
This is Rahul Kumar.I am using Intel 845GLAD mother board.When i installed Fedora Core 6,it is not taking Display driver. It is working in CLI mode only.My LG-Monitor's Model is :- LG Studio Works 563 N, Display Intel 82845 G Graphics Controller. While it is working in GUI & CLI in Fedora Core3 & 4.
Can Anybody help me ?

Hi Rahul,

This is a known issue by now. For some reason, FC6 fails to recognize the proper refresh rates of the monitor. Most of the time, it's as easy as looking up the minimum and maximum vertical and horizontal refresh rates for their monitor. Then from the command line you need to open /etc/X11/xorg.conf and set the proper refresh rates. After that, all should be fine.

Just a minor correction on the topic title:

There is no such thing as a monitor driver. There is only a configuration that tells the video card driver what the specs of the monitor are; based on that, the video card will send the 'correct' signals to the monitor
