Lexmark z735

I know this topic has been brought up before, but I wanted to repost and see if any progress had been made on getting a driver for this printer.

Any help would be appreciated; thanks!

This question is best directed to Lexmark, as it's their decision whether or not they choose to support the Linux market.

That said, unfortunately the Z735 is still classified in the "paperweight" status (ie, it's completely useless) FWIW, I'd recommend HP printers. I'm still using my (ancient) LaserJet 5P and it runs without trouble under Linux. Good luck with it

As an addition to what J.W. said keep an eye here http://www.freestandards.org/en/OpenPrinting , they would probably know if anything changes re your printer. In my case, with a z645 (also a paperweight) I bit the bullet and bought an epson instead rather than wait for movement on the driver front and as J.W. also indicated, HP have excellent linux support - http://www.freestandards.org/en/Open...PrinterVendors
