Lexmark Z615 printer

Hello,

I want to buy a printer...
I've found quite cheap USB ink printer - Lexmark Z615... That would suit me.

According to the store's list is supported under Windows and Mac OSX systems.

However I did find the driver for this printer at official Lexmark site for RH 9.0...

The questions:

Does anybody has an experience with installing this printer?

I just want to be sure it will work without problems

The driver was tested on RH 9.0 (according to LM site). Will it work on my Debian Sarge system

Thanks

Well, I have a printer very similair to the z615 (its an X1150 - basically a 615 with scan and fax).
The driver for the printer works, but it expects old cups versions and may have some problems on Debian (I cant say as I installed on Gentoo, and have barely tried on Arch) The install walkthrough for Gentoo is here. I would suggest that you make an attempt to install the driver before you purchase the printer, as installing the driver (at least in Gentoo) was quite a chore and wasn't exactly certain to work.
