my dad just bought a lexmark z605m printer since our other one was outdated by QUITE a few years. Now I'm wondering cause I havent seen it listed on www.linuxprinting.org if there is a way to get it work under my redhat9 distro. Such as any available drivers, please?
There is a problem with this type of printer. Like a winmodem, it is not a complete printer. It relies on the OS to handle what should be done in the printer.
makes sense, ohwell. i just saw a new cannon for 60 bucks in a magazine ad, ink cost were 8 bucks for blacka dn 18 for color, thats about a third less than what i pay now for lexmark cartridges
