I have not used my computer in a while, almost a year and I recently started back using it and I am having trouble with my printer. I don't have a disk to install a new printer but I have tried several things and all has fail. I don't know what else to do. I even purchased new ink cartridges, all it tells me is that my printer is not install or is not online. Everything is pluged in correctly my light on my printer is on so what else could be wrong. A friend told me I needed to downlown the printer to my computer from the internet but I don't no how. I went to Lexmark.com and that was hopeless, can someone please help me and be very descriptive because I know little about computers.

next, it looks like this printer is USB? you need to tell us information like this, please. also what OS is this for? windows? linux? what distribution and version?
