Lexmark Optra T610 network printer prints Landscape instead of Portrait (Suse 9.3)
Hello
I've installed an Optra T610 network printer with CUPS.
The uggly thing is:
Printing testpages from Yast2 are all ok.
Printing from Mozilla (lpr auf default queue) works
Printing ASCI with lpr to default queue works not (see below)
Printing from AcrobatReader, a2ps works not (see below)
The not working output is the following:
The output is printed Landscape on a "normal" paper
so theere is a lot of output truncated.
It does not change if you change the format to Landscape
mode in gv.
No what I have seen is that a2ps is generating
Orientation: Landscape
DocumentMedia: letter
From gv if you change Orientation doesn't change anyting.
Patching the
%%Orientation: Landscape
entry in ps file to
%%Orientation: Portrait
doesn't work.
The acrobat reader documents have no Orientation entries
and are printed always bad nevertheless which mode is used
in printer setup (Portrait or Landscape).
If I modify ps file there has also no effect.
So any idea what is the main problem.
The same documents are printed right with acrobat reader
under windows.
In suse 8.0 it worked right with the lexmark driver but I was
no more able to install queues with the lexmark driver.
Thanks for any help.
