Lexmark

Hello,

I am new to this forum. Would like to ask for help. I have a Lexmark Z55 and I am using Fedora. I can not print with it. I tried the printer with Windows and it worked without any problem. If I want to print under Fedora paper it taken into the printer and the head operates as if it is printing. When the paper comes out it is blank! Any ideas?

Many thanks and best regards.

print margins?

try printing a full page of text, rather than just one line...

or print a test page, is that blank too?

hmm... well, that's something...

have you checked linuxprinting.org to verify that you are using the correct driver?

i know that FC is good at recognizing HW, and has its own utilities for managing system config, but the info on LP is still valid...

Just checked the linuxprinting.org but could not find Z55 there. I also checked Lexmark site and downloaded few drivers and packages. Most of them are not for Fedora. Some of them are for earlier versions of Red Hat.
