lexmark 1185, anybody configured one yet??


Has anybody here configured a lexmark 1185 all in one printer scanner...
i set a friends pc up with linux, mandriva 2006 and forgot to set the p[rinter up...since its 350 klms away, its hard for me to work out what is going on at her end...
i'm hoping someone here has already set one up so i can relay to her what she needs to do...i've never done one of these all-in-ones(i personally dont like them)...any ideaS GUYS...

I don't think you'll get the scanner to work, at least not without a lot of googleing, but I got my X1180 to work by installing the Z600 driver from the lexmark website and using that driver.

curious if anybody has tried using wine to run the printer driver under... and if so has it been successful with a printer that is not linux compatible....
thank you for your reply binary_y2k2 and will probably use that one if i cant get it all to work...
