I am having a different error message. I too am using suse9.1, but my problem is " folder /media/usb-storage-33000001230000000573:0:0:0p1 ". I found the usb foler and it appears to have all the correct permissions. I also notice that in the var/message log that the kernel could not recognize the file type. To make matters even more confusing I have been working with this Lexar Jumpdrive sport since june and have not had a problem. Note: I Have downloaded load all the security modules that apply to Suse 91. and the last update made my kernel 2.6..7.95 and that is when my lexar jumpdrive stop respondng when plugged in. I have tried several of the fixes and workarounds but still can not make this thing work. Any Ideas?

Try a newer kernel, 2.6.7 is in stable. Does the drive use USB 1.0, 1.1, or 2.0? Either way, be SURE to compile the usb-uhci, usb-ohci, and usb-ehci drivers as modules when you compile, then make sure they're loaded.
