Letter doubling

Hello,

I recently put Mandrake 9.0 on my laptop and everything
seems to be fine except my keyboard is behaving oddly.
If I type at my normal speed, I get a lot of doubled letters.
It's only if I type in a pecking fashion when I get normal
output. I've played around with kbdrate to see if that
helped, but that doesn't seem to have any affect on the
doubling. I've also tried changing the keyboard settings
in the Mandrake Control Center, but no luck there, either.

Thanks in advance for any input.

It sounds like you have a Toshiba!!! I have one too. I love it, but she has a few quirks.

The way I got rid of the letter doubling was to uncomment the XkbDisable option in the XF86Config file. For you I think the file is XF86Config-4. /etc/X11/XF86Config

Good Luck

Yeah, it's a Toshiba.

That worked to fix the problem. Thanks for the help.
