Actually the difference between DVI and SVGA is huge.
LCD only accepts digital signals when it displays the image. However since not everyone has DVI ports in their video card, they had to create a converter inside your LCD so it can accept Anolog and convert them into digtal signal. If they don't do this, they will be out of bussiness.
This "converter" is a serious downer. Your going to have your screen not properly adjusted (positioning), images and text dosn't look sharp, and their is much greater delay in refreshing since it has to run through the converter it self. You may also notice ghosting if your using Anolog.
However, using DVI solves all that. It's the LCD's native singal so your always going to get the perfect picture just the way your computer ment it to be.
I bought Anolog on my first LCD, but returned it in 2 days because of the poor quality images (this was on Windows btw). I went to the IBM store and bought this DVI enabled LCD and i was blown it away.
Just know that there is a significant differnce between them.
