laptop mouse sending Mozilla back and forth

Hi There,

I've got a laptop with one of those little surface where running your finger on it move the cursor. (I don't remember how do you call it. Mouse pad? Well I'll call it mouse pad for now)

Occasionally when I surf the net using Mozilla or Firefox as I move my finger across the mouse pad it automatically send the browser back or forward depending on the direction I'm moving my finger.
That's extremely irritating. <-- Yes just like that
Does anyone would know a way to stop it. So I can go from  to :D
If so I'll be much grateful

I'm running Gnome on FC3

Thank you

This used to drive me crazy as well...

I believe that if you go into mozilla and type about:config into the address bar, then go down to where it says mousewheel.horizscroll.withnokey.action, set it to 0.

Hope this helps!

I can't try it now as I'm on windows.
But I changed the Mozilla setting from there and I'm pretty sure that is exactly what I was after.
Much grateful
Thank you.
