LAN Drivers for D945GCCR

Hello All,

I am trying to install RHEL AS 4.0 (kernel 2.6.9-5) on my another Intel box (Intel Desktop Board, D945GCCR). I was able to install without any problem. But the LAN drivers were not detected it seems. I can not assign an IP address to it and when I type ifconfig, it just shows only lo address no eth0. Do I need to install any LAN modules for my intel box? I have searched through google and nothing was found. Any help in this matter would greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Make sure that your kernel is using the tulip module for the ethernet card. It works with just about anything. If it doesn't try to interogate the card to se the make and model of the networking chipset. I do not see why it wouldn't work if the tulip module is correctly configured. Maybe try getting slax which is a very good and small live cd something like 140mb with kde the whole toot, (probably the best live distro if you ask me) and then see if it works in there. If all else fails take out the card, clean the contacts with an pencil eraser and slot it in again to see if it would go.
