Labtec Webcam No Drivers Either

This is the only problem i have ran into with linux whic hi have been unable to find a solution for. I am not sure what the problem is or if the usb controller card i have was properly configured during the installation of it. It should be because if it wasn't it would have let me pass during the check sequence at boot correct?

Also is there a webcam that is just plug and play or that has drivers which can be installed that actually work. I tried the qce-ga-0.40c.tar.gz but i think this would work better with a older distro i am running redhat 8.0.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me a little on this and give me a solution ot this problem. Is there a way to find out if the Webcam is being recognized by my distro?

By the way I was able to install the usbview rpm but i am not sure what info you would need from there so please let me know so i can post it for you.

Thanks in advance........................
