Kyro Linux Drivers

Has anyone here successfully installed PowerVR Linux drivers. I have a Hercules 4500 Prophet 64 meg video card and cannot get the PowerVR drivers working properly.

powervr Kyro chipsets do not work under kernel version 2.6.x or better. If you are using this kernel version will enjoy the vesa driver that is installed by default. I have searched the net far and wide, there is no driver in development, I guess the architecture change in the 2.6 kernel complicates driver devlopment ( the object file now has the extension .ko instead of .o)

I'm working on comming up with something for the kyro chipset, the Linux operating system was founded on the sharing of knowledge and information, and even if I don't build a driver, maybe at very least I can contribute to those who can.
