KVM Hotkeys Fail in KDE

Hi everyone,

I have a USB trendnet TK-209 KVM switch. It switches between all the machines I've tried it with when the NumLock-NumLock hotkey sequence is pressed. It's worked successfully on:
  • Windows XP
  • Windows 7
  • OpenSUSE
  • Debian

However, it's not switching on my Slackware box while I'm in KDE. If I log out of X, it does work though. It seems like KDE is interfering with the key sequence.

Does anyone know what I can check out or do to fix the problem?

Since it's been a week & no one has answered, I'll jump in w/ a few questions for you:
  1. What DE's are you running on SuSE & Debian?

  2. Which ver. of KDE are you running on Slack? -- In this time of transition from 3 to 4, it's very important to know which KDE we are dealing w/.

  3. I know your profile says Slack 13, but it would be nice to (re)state the Slack ver. in your question.
(Feel free to number your answers. :))

  1. Only the slack install is running KDE. OpenSUSE and Debian run GNOME.
  2. KDE4
  3. I'm running Slackware 13.1

For everyone's convenience: http://www.trendnet.com/products/pro...K-209K&cat=105

From the TK-209K Quick Installation Guide:
Quote:

Q6: How do I switch from one computer to another with the KVM switch?
A6: PC User: Push Buttons, Universal Hot-Key Commands or Client Switching Software
Mac User: Push Buttons
Linux User: Push Buttons, Universal Hot-Key Commands

If you still encounter problems or have any questions regarding the TK-209K/TK-209K, please contact
TRENDnet's Technical Support Department.
Almost certainly a KDE 4 problem, note that the Hot-Keys don't work in Macs. Be thankful that the 2 model has buttons.

Which KDE 4 are you using?

Have you contacted their Technical Support Department?
