kubuntu hardy 8.04 hardy BCM94311
 

I need some help getting the bcm94311 rev 02. I have a dv9617 laptop. I did as many have said in other forums and google searches. I from terminal installed the b43-fwcutter and said yes to firmware to be installed. It at first did not ask but after some reading I ran complete uninstall reinstall and it then asked about firmware. Now I am running Kubuntu KDE 3.5 64 bit. I first tried the remix kde 4.03 and it worked great for wireless install just answered yes and it installed and worked. The other half dozen problems made me go back to Hardy 8.04 KDE 3.5. I formatted and installed 8.04 kde 3.5 and the only thing I can not get to go is the wireless. If anyone can help that would be great.

As long you use any broadcom based wireless cards, i suggest ndiswrapper and WIn XP driver - that should work flawless.
