Kpilot Can't Sync w/Sony Clie TJ-37
Hi All,
I'm just short of raw newbie status - but I'll certainly claim it for this post! I've installed KPilot on Kubuntu 7.10, and can't sync my Sony Clie TJ-37 to it. Poking around, it looks like the Clie is not establishing the /dev/TTY* ports as it should be. When I do a tail -f /var/log/messages, I noted that most postings established a port. My output is as follows: Dec 28 22:31:16 josquin kernel: [ 822.945541] usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 7 Dec 28 22:31:16 josquin kernel: [ 823.122654] usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice When I cancel the sync or the Clie times out, there's a disconnect message, and the next attempt increments the address. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. The output from lsusb indicates that the Clie does seem to be communicating: Bus 002 Device 010: ID 054c:0169 Sony Corp. Clie PEG-TJ35 PDA Serial What's the next step? I'm running two systems at my desk, so the lack of sync isn't a killer. However, it looks as if Kontakt has the ability to filter datebook entries and to-dos by category, which the Windows Palm software doesn't offer. What's the next step? Thanks Jim Stanley |
