Question Kooka isn't detecting SANE libraries

I start Kooka, and wait a while. It finally shows up, only to be bearing an error message which begins with "Problem: No Scanner was found" it goes on to explain that my system does not provide a SANE installation. Last time that I checked, though, it did. I tried reinstalling everything, the sane libraries, kooka, everything. But it still isn't working. What's wrong and how can I fix it?
