hi all! i just switched to SUSE 10.1 from win xp and really like it.but i am having trouble installing madwifi drivers for my DLINK wifi pci card.i have everything ready to go download wise and i just need to configure my kernel source code and such.i go into konsole and type,
#cd/usr/src/linux and it just lies there like a dead dog and doesnt do anything.is there something i need to press to make it do something? thanks |
Does the readme file say anything about what to inside your linu kernel ? Perhaps any command like "make menuconfig" or something ?
It's most likely you have to go to /usr/src/linux/`uname -r` Just copy that into ur console.. And you'll get into ur kernel map. From there just follow whatever the readme says! |
i just need an easy step by step.almost to the point of
step one...open konsole. like that you know?i am very new to this.im not even sure what an RPM is or how to run it. |
