KONICA Network Printer w/ Authentication
Hi!!!
To start off with this is week 3 of using Ubuntu which has been going good except for a couple of minor issues. Anyway my current challenge.
I work at an office with a KONICA MINOLTA C450 PCL network Printer/scanner/copier. I have been trying for that last couple of day's to figure out how to connect to this printer. The printer is connected to our Win2k server. Pre Linux I was able to connect to this printer by putting in the network path and entering my Authentication.
When I setup SMB for connecting to the printer I'm able to see the network and all of the shared files but, not the printer. Also, because this printer doesn't support linux drivers I'm affaid I'll run into another problem if I'm able to actuall connect to the printer. The printer is setup so that you enter a printer login (your 3 digit extension) and a 4 digit password. These are different that the network login Username and password. So, I'm wonder how I will pass this information accross to the print as well.
Hope this all make sence.
Thx in advance
