Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Kodak EasyShare C643 Driver

I have installed gphoto and gtkam and all their requirements and they seem to work fine. They detect my camera as a USB PTP Class Camera. I can see all the pics that are on it, and I can zoom them with no problem.
The only problem is when I try to save them. It doesn't work!
Is there a program that might support this camera? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?
