im lookin to install Knoppix to my HD, but i seen ppl say that if u do it will mess up ur windows boot, how can i install knoppix to a hd without it takin away the boot for Xp?


i have 3hds, 1 is 3gb that has nothing on it, 2nd is my first hd that is 20gb and im formating it right now, 3rd is my WinXP install drive 120gb hd,

i want to install knoppix to my 20gb hd, will it matter that my 120gb hd cant boot without my 20gb hd? i dont know i think its cuz i put my 120gb hd as a storage drive...can i fix that?

i want to be able to boot into knoppix and XP.

and i dont have a floppy....it kinda went boom 1 day....lol...

i need like a install guide or something like that...i really dont wana mess up..

i have the boot CD and i played around with it like talked on aim and stuff, but other than that im a :newbie: but i learn fast

so if u could help me out and stuff i would really like it, and btw is this in the right fourm?


:edit: lol forgot to ask, will i need a firewall? or is knoppix safe? i get port scaned like every day
