Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Keyboard stopped working

Hey, my keyboard stopped working, even on bootup.

When it says press ESc to skip, i press esc and it doesn't work. Neither does DEL.

So. I tried two OTHER keyboards (btw these are old 5 pin ones -- with the big plug) and neither of them worked.

I'm in the final stages of making it a workstation, and to have it die is sad. WAHHHHHHH!

Any ideas? Did i break the input?

Can anyone re-direct me to a forum that would know?

My guess is either the connector on the mobo is bad.... or the BIOS is possibly corrupt. You can try a BIOS reset (usually pulling the battery out for 10 or 15 min will work, but you may need to set a jumper as well... consult your mobo documentation or google), but no guarantees on that one. If multiple keyboards are not working then it's something with your box.
