PCLinuxos 2007 dual boot with Windows XP SP2

Installed PCLinuxos a few months ago
Recently installed Kreceipes package and was entering data when keyboard quit inputing characters
Keyboard will not input characters in any packages
Changed layout of Keyboard to 6 different items this did not solve problem
Changed Keyboard to PS/2 this also did not solve problem
Installed live cd and keyboard worked in all packages

Through out all of this trouble shooting Keyboard continue to work in Windows XP
Mouse continues to work in PCLinuxos properly

Need help solving this problem

Problem Solved

Opened Home Folder

Clicked on show hidden files

Found .kde and moved to trash

Rebooted system Keyboard now inputting characters

Themes and appearances were erased

All major packages intact with no loss of data

Very simple fix with minimal loss of data
