Keyboard not working suddenly redhat 9

Hi guys,

I got into this peculiar problem where once I get into the login screen of my Xwindows session , my keyboard is not working at all.
I have a dual booting to linux and windows and key board works fine in windows. As far as linux is concerned , the key was working perfectly fine.
This has been a very recent problem.
If I try to putty to this machine from someother machine I am able to work perfectly when linux is started up to the login prompt screen.

Could someone let me know what could be causing this problem?

Regards
ThirdEye.

Have you done any upgrades lately? Does your keyboard work in the console mode? Check your xorg.conf and make sure your keyboard is properly set up for your configuration and/or your version of linux. Post your Xorg.0.log from your /var/log directory. See if it says anything in there about your keyboard. Post the results.

Did you try using the PS/2 port instead of USB(if that is what you are using)?
