kernel upgrade and alsa stops working

Hi all,

I just installed Libranet 2.7, this is a Debian based distro. I installed succesfully alsa for my Creative Audigy (which uses emu10k1) which worked without problems. Then I decided to upgrade to Sid, which went also succesfully. After that, I upgraded my old 2.4.19 kernel to 2.4.22. When I rebooted to my new 2.4.22 kernel, alsa didn't worked anymore. When I configged this 2.4.22 kernel, I took the exact same sound settings as in my 2.4.19 kernel.

Anyone have a clue?

I've always had to recompile the alsa driver after a kernel upgrade. The new kernel can't find the drivers under /lib/modules/2.4.22, they are under 2.4.19. I never tried to just mv them to the new module tree, don't know if that works, or if you'd get a ton of version mismatch errors.
