kernel panic - not syncing fatal exception Centos 5.5


Hi i have a machine which running with centos 5 and now some times am getting kernel panic from that machine . that machine is running with qmail and some other important data. how can i recover that machine from this .i mean to find the cause of kernel panic where do i need to check? if i need to be more specific please advice me

do a memtest from a live cd/usb drive first, then see gsmartctl or smartctl reports.

I second that, this looks like a faulty memory module, run Memtest86+ to test the RAM.
