When I run red hat linux which was previously installed on my hard drive I get an error (see below). I also get this error when I start up the instalation proccess from the Red Hat 9 CD. Does anyone know why I'm getting this error?
Thanks, Dan

The previous computer which I used to install red hat onto the hard drive had an AMD Athlon 64 3800+. I've been looking around on the internet and I can't seem to find anyone having the same problems as me. My CD-Rom drive isn't being detected anymore by my motherboard and kernel seems to crash after it ?looks at the ide/pci stuff?. I'm thinking it might be something to do with the order I've plugged them into my motherboard or something.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem to this?
