Kernel Crash

Hey guys, i just got a new motherboard, processor and ram... a new system to be my server. I chose to go with the new pinout for the pentium 4, the LGA775, i got a p4 3Ghz, with an asus P5LD2-VM motherboard. I cant seem to get linux to install on it. The kernel crashes every time. I have tried three versions of linux, fedora core 4, suse 10.0, and mandrake 10. Is there a fix for this, or am I SOL witht he new equipment till there is a new release of the kernel?
