Keeping wireless speakers on

I switched to bluetooth speakers because the audio jack of my computer stopped working. They're great except they disconnect afer a period of disuse, and I use speakers for alarms. Fortunately bluetooth audio allows multiple sources of sound at the same time, so I 'play' silence: a tape I made of myself sleeping 14 years ago, to diagnose a sleep problem.

Personally, I tend to use USB speakers if the internal ones don't suit/work; perhaps a better option(?).

I listen all over the house, want wireless speakers. Otherwise you may be right. I've gone to all wireless: keyboard, mouse, speakers. I've thought of switching to wireless monitor. It's nice not to have all those cables to untangle.
