KDE Monitor Configuration

Firstly, sorry if this is the wrong category, but I just wasn't sure where else to put this.

I have a dual monitor set up with KDE with an AMD Sapphire Radeon 6950 graphics card. I have no problems with using it to do my standard stuff, but I've just recently got some screen recording software that I had planned to make some tutorials with. The problem is, whenever I try to record, it always shows this big black area right next to my screen. Additionally, when it loads, it always shows the loading bar 1/2 way off the screen.

I feel like there's a configuration problem with it but I can't find where to fix it.

you haven't mentioned the driver.

for radeon you can force options

man radeon
Also see xorg log in /var to get options right.

displaypriority, scalarwidth, textured video
