kbuild error
I just installed a fresh copy of Fedora 4 and have run all the updates with YUM.. I went to build a driver for a 3ware 8006-2LP RAID card and got the following error:
[root@supermicro100 /]# make -f Makefile
make V=1 -I/lib/modules/2.6.11-1.1369_FC4smp/source/drivers/scsi -C /lib/modules/2.6.11-1.1369_FC4smp/source SUBDIRS=/ modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/kernels/2.6.11-1.1369_FC4-smp-i686'
mkdir -p //.tmp_versions
make -f scripts/Makefile.build obj=
scripts/Makefile.build:64: kbuild: Makefile.build is included improperly
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `/3w-9xxx.c', needed by `/3w-9xxx.o'. Stop.make[1]: *** [_module_] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/kernels/2.6.11-1.1369_FC4-smp-i686'
make: *** [default] Error 2
I ran Google on it and just seem to find some various old postings about patches for the kernel. Can anyone give me a hit as where I can go from here? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
- the rookie
