Question Jtag

This isn't so much linux-related, but does anyone know what to connect JTAG pins to? I have a router with a JTAG interface =>

ISP-TMS
ISP-TDI
ISP-TDO
ISP-TCK
GND
VCC

--those are the names of the pins, and I understand that's a JTAG interface. Is it possible to connect it to like a DB9 port and HyperTerm to the router? I'm totally new to JTAG...

I'm not all that familar with JTAG either. You can not directly connect JTAG to RS-232. A quick google didn't find any JTAG to RS232 converters either.
