Joystick Setup - Fedora Core 4

I need some help with setting-up a Logitech Dual Action gamepad in Fedora Core 4 Linux. Here's what I have done so far with no avail.

1. I installed the joystick .RPM file.
2. Next I went into /etc/rc.local and created a symbolic (ln -s /dev/input/js0 /dev/js0)

I am trying to make FC4 use the /dev/input/js0 as the deafult joystick for all applications. This is so I can use my Logitech gamepad with Snes9X, gxMAME, and windows games/emulators that I run with Cedega 4.4.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

me too

What's the name of the .rpm file you installed? I'd like to get it working for the same reasons. I'm going to move on for my answer, but I'll post it back here if I get it figured out first.
