Joystick/Gamepad causing segfault.
Alright so this is an issue that i have already resolved but seeing as i didn't find any information about it when i was trying to fix it i thought i might put up this post so people could find the fix in the future.
I have a saitek p380 and every time i moved the analog sticks the software segfaulted, it worked however in qjoypad.
The saitek p380 uses the joydev module and seeing as that module is very common i can imagine the same thing happening on several types of joysticks and gamepads.
The software that segfaulted was emulators, thats what i used the gamepad for, and the only thing those 2 emulators had in common was SDL. It seems that there is a bug in SDL-1.2.14 that makes it recognize the joystick/gamepad with the wrong number of axis, so whenever an axis is being moved that isn't recognized by SDL it segfaults.
A simple downgrade to SDL-1.2.13 will solve this entire issue, so now you don't have to search much for the fix as i did:P Happy gaming!
