Issue on Repeated USB Device Connection/Disconnection.

Hi,

I would like to ask for any ideas how to fix an issue on repeated USB Device Connection/Disconnection.

I am using Fedora Core 5, kernel 2.6.20. I plugged in a USB IR device but my Linux doesn't seem to drive the device. I tried displaying the "/var/log/messages", I found these messages:

These messages keep on looping back from 2 to 127. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Actually, the original kernel with my Fedora core is 2.6.15-1, I installed newer kernel versions 2.6.20-1, 2.6.20.3 and 2.6.20.6, hoping this would fix the problem, but unluckily, it didn't.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
jcaga

For those who would encounter the same issue, I emailed the support for the USB device and they adviced me to connect an externet power supply. I did and it worked!
