ISA modem not working
I recently installed mandrake but my modem is not working with it.(works fine with windows)
i did dmesg and it showed ISA: Aztech Modem card. --- which is correct. But can't connect to internet or doesn't work with kpppd.... Query modem shows "modem ready", but doesn't give any info, all the fields are blank. when i try to connect, it gives "initializing the modem" and goes forever. can anyone help me to fix this problem? thanks sanj |

can't do configuration , it says modem not ready....
Is there a way to find out whether my ISA modem card is recognised by the system correctly.... i mean if the dmesg shows AZtech modem card, can i be 100% sure that mandrake has identified it correctly and has already installed any drivers necessery.....Because I am not sure whether my card is a winmodem or not... I checked the linux modem list and only have question mark before it, meaning status not known... thanks, sanj |
