Is there any problem to install Debian on a HP DV4-1220US or on a HP DV4-1280US?

I would like to buy a HP DV4-1220US or a HP DV4-1280US, but I am not sure if all resources of these machines will be recognized by the latest stable Debian version. Also, I heard that recent versions of HP gave a lot of problems. Is it true? Could anyone give-me suggestions (based on facts) about notebooks brands and their qualities?

I don't see either of the ones you listed on any of the linux Laptop sites though.. and Google searches for those Models + Linux don't come back with any decent results either..

My suggestion would be to use the Links I provided to see what the manufacturers (HP, Dell, Lenovo) are selling with Linux on it already, purchase one of those Models and load your Distro of choice..
