Is there a mobo of choice when it comes to using linux

Is there a such thing as a motherboard of choice when it comes to running linux. I mean what chipset would give me the least amount of problems for using redhat 9 as an os?

Not really; I'm sure if you go and buy a mainboard from someone or think about it you can look it up after you know what you're looking for. The main thing would be chipset support... or onboard video and sound. Find out what it is (AC 97 sound/cmedia or intel or realtek) and see if it's compatable. What are you looking for in a new box? Speed, board. I personally use stuff that's just laying around. Of course the older stuff is usually no problem. Don't stress too bad.
