Post Is there a /dev/* list - I.e. What devices become when connected ?

Hi,

I've been increasingly interested in what devices are named/become when connected, in relation to /dev/ttyS0 or /dev/fd0 etc. What USB Storage devices are named as.

Is there a list or table that shows this ?

Cheers.

Karl.

See devices.txt in the kernel source, usually /usr/src/linux/Documentation/devices.txt
