Is the problem my Turtle Beach soundcard?
I've been trying unsuccessfully to get jackd to run and wonder if
the problem may be my Turtle Beach Motego II soundcard. I read in
the ALSA pages that some vortex basedmcards were problematic for
ALSA and am wondering if this may be why I can't get jackd to start
successfully. My card is not always found upon boot (I load using
alsaconf maybe half the time.) Sound works ok for both playback
and record using audacity, but I can't get jack to work so have
been unable to get any jackified apps going.
So I have two question that I'd like feed back on. First, is the
problem with jackd perhaps tied to my card's problem with ALSA,
and if you have a setup that is running jackd successfully, what
card are you using? I've looked at the ALSA sound card matrix but
want feedback on what's working from users (since my Turtle Beach
card is shown to work according to the matrix). Software:
