Is small use of laser printer damaging?

I recently purchased a cheap Samsung monochrome laser printer which I use for printing a few pages every 30 to 60 minutes or so and I wonder if the constant warming up and cooling is damaging the printer more than necessary.

Other than the duty cycle, the manufacturer doesn't document any particular usage pattern limitations.

If you know you won't be using a printer (or any other piece of equipment) for an extended period of time, such as if you are on vacation, I'd recommend turning it off to save on electricity. Otherwise though, No, most printers typically have long periods of inactivity in between flurries of printing, and that kind of pattern is entirely normal.
