is it possible to force ubuntu to use my secondary GPU?

I have two GPUs on my X99 board. one gtx 9600 and one crappy something as a secondary.

What I want to know is, is it posible to force ubuntu to use my secondary card so I can blacklist and passtrough my primary? the reason I dont just switch pci slots is becous I only get the full 16 pci lanes at my primary slot.

ruperten,

First, look in the BIOS under Advanced for Video/Graphics or similar and select the gtx 9600 as the Primary video adapter.

Depending on which particular BIOS you have, there may also be an option to disable onboard graphics.

Press F10 to save changes and exit.
