is it possible?
is it possible to damage a graphisc card using worng driver i am using gforce 2 go but driver did not work so now i am using vesa driver but screen blink for a second and shown stupid images during x start up is it possible to damage graphics card?
No, it's possible to damage older monitors by specifying too high of a refresh rate but most monitors made in this century just shut off when asked to do too high of a refresh so even that is hard to break.
And your vid card is vesa compliant so its going to work with that driver but not use any of it's special 3d hardware. The garbage you see isn't fatal it's just random bits that were in that section of video memory when it initalized.
