Is it a hardware problem????

Recently while booting my linux(FC2) , There was a forced filesystem check and it said "error in filesystem" and asked to do fsck.

I did fsck and in the middle it prompted many questions for "yes" or "no" and did yes to all of them.

It is working fine now.

I doubt if there is a problem with my harddisk.

I have tried installing FC2 and FC3 for nearly 10 times. It aborted in all the cases saying different kinds of errors.I finally able to install 10th time.

Plz help me know if this is harddisk problem.

Thank you.

yes, there is a hard drive problem.
I use slackware cause its more tolerant to a failing hard drive.
vector linux is good if you can't quite handle slackware yet.
I moved to slackware cause I wanted more control than vector could give me.

if you harddrive is getting corrupted, you better backup and use another drive instead of installing a new OS... A failing harddrive isn't something you can trust...
