Question IRQ conflict with isapnp

So I throw in a second NIC that ISA and run pnpdump ucomment the lines I needed with the correct options I want (i.e. IRQ 3) drop the info into /etc/isapnp.conf Now on boot I get:
Code:
isapnp: Scanning for PnP cards...
isapnp: Card 'NETGEAR EA201 Ethernet Card'
isapnp: 1 Plug & Play car detected total
...
...
...
ne.c: ISAPnP reports Generic PNP at i/o 0x240, irq 12
...
...
NE*000 ethercard probe at 0x240: 00 40 05 aa 65 c9
eth1: NE2000 found at 0x240, using IRQ 12.
My isapnp.conf looks like (I took out all the grabage)
Code:
 (READPORT 0x0203)
(ISOLATE)
(IDENTIFY *)
(CONFIGURE AXE2011/~916084219 (LD 0
(IO 0 (BASE 0x0240))
(INT 0 (IRQ 3 (MODE +E)))
(ACT Y)
))
(WAUTFIRJEY)
and in my /etc/rc.d/rc.netdevices:
Code:
/sbin/modprobe ne io=0x240 irq=3
This normaly wouldnt bother me but it just so happens that IRQ 12 is the same as my mouse and I can't get into X without a working mouse.

I think the problem is ether:
1. that its not takeing the isapnp.conf for some reason?
2. isapnp is useing some other configureation (kind of an autoconfig)?
3. I screwed up somewhere

Can anyone offer insight?
